( 10/21/2011 - 11/20/2011 )
Running Time: 90 minutes
Lady Liberty is a dramady about some misfits that find each other in the big city of New York. From Violet Hanson's apartment, if you stand on the bed, you can see the head of the Statue of Liberty. For Rhea Zambrano, her landlady, the Statue represents the strength she wishes she had. For Violet, Lady Liberty symbolizes the hope for survival. Rhea, the 60ish landlady, who sings commercial jingles on the side, rents an apartment to Violet, 30, who is directionless in her life because of a traumatic experience. These two women, from different generations, form an intimate bond and help each other to seek a life less lonely.
