@ This Stage Magazine

@ This Stage is a digital media platform that is centered in providing professional resources, community, and conversation to empower innovative, diverse theatre artists. We do so through our three main content areas – Work, Play, and Think. The content areas are defined as follows:

  • Work: Professional development resources
  • Play: Fun or humor pieces
  • Think: Critical thought pieces

We believe that by holistically approaching artists, as both professionals and as people, we can best support their growth and development. We also focus on conversations around topics in theatre and the arts that are relevant and crucial to the diverse, vibrant people within the Los Angeles theatre and arts community.

Artist Membership

LA STAGE Alliance Artist Members have access to a pool of professional development resources, a network of passionate LA Theatre Artists, and the support to grow and thrive.  Our individual membership is meant to build the sustainability and success of the sector by focusing on those that create the theatre.

Digital Advertising

In order to support our constituents and broaden the reach of LA artists, LA STAGE fosters a community advertising program that touches 34k arts patrons each week.

An all-day event occurring every other year, where hundreds of artists, arts leaders, arts patrons, and arts supporters gather to inspire one another and dialogue about the future of our community.

Interactive panel discussions on topics that are not usually addressed in other discussion series for our community.

An online discount ticketing program and event listing platform. This program has returned over 2.5M in ticket revenue to participating arts organization since its inception.

Organizational Membership

Joining LA STAGE Alliance as a member allows organizations to engage with the above programs at the highest level. Our members take full advantage of our services and are offered discounts and exclusive opportunities when available.

The Ovation Awards

Los Angeles’ only peer-judged competitive awards for theatre. This year-long program culminates in an annual black-tie ceremony typically attended by around 1,200 prominent members of the Greater LA theatre community — including presenters, nominees, celebrities, luminaries, and major supporters and partners of LA STAGE and the arts. Our list of distinguished hosts has included Nathan Lane, Lily Tomlin, Neil Patrick Harris and Michael McKean. The ceremony is a yearly celebration of achievement and excellence, and is a way for our expansive community to converge for an evening of recognition, engagement, and entertainment.

Community Events

LA STAGE Alliance presents a variety of community events each year. Keep abreast of these events by joining our mailing list, checking out our calendar, and following us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

LA STAGE Alliance is seen by its community as the go-to source for information, resources, and opportunities for artists and arts administrators.

We strive to engender a robust and diverse network of artists who engage, inspire, educate, and entertain their communities.
