COMMUNITY OUTREACH INTERN
The Community Outreach intern will be primarily responsible for activating our various member/partner constituents and building support for member-driven programs. The intern will be communicating with our 250 Ovation Awards voters and Rules Committee members through coordination of related summer events/training sessions and building awareness of the LA STAGE Space Warehouse Co-Op and SpacefinderLA programs through outreach and programatic support. In the course of the internship, the intern will meet hundreds of artists and arts leaders and gain a broad understanding of the breadth and depth of the LA performing arts community.

The intern will spend a portion of their time working internally with the datasets to improve the quality and consistency of the data and develop reports that can be shared with the community, and the rest of their time engaging with partners and members in the community to find missing information, largely on individual artist history and recent company and production activity. In the course of the internship, the intern will meet hundreds of artists and arts leaders and gain a broad understanding of the breadth and depth of the LA performing arts community.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Both these internship positions are sponsored by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. 122 undergraduate interns will participate in the program this year at 103 performing, presenting, and literary nonprofit arts organizations and municipal arts agencies throughout LA County. In addition to their full-time 10 week paid internship, interns will participate in educational events as part of the program, which is funded by the Getty Foundation. The educational events are designed to provide interns with a broader perspective of the vibrant arts and cultural landscape of the County.
